Project: Bless Amazima Weekend
We would really love for you to visit Katie at The Journey this weekend. She is someone who has touched our hearts in many ways, and someone (like many others) who knew and loved our son before we did. We have been so richly blessed by her blog and we want to share that with all of you!
We hope that FIRST you'll visit Katie's blog, and give yourself time to just sit awhile with it. Once you've done that, we would love if you would let us know following us on Twitter, or on this blog, or by clicking "like" on our Facebook page. If you've already done these things, please just shoot us an email telling us how you've been blessed by Katie's blog! We would be honored to donate a meal on behalf of each of you who reach out to us in one or all of these ways, up to $100.00. (If, for example, you follow us on Facebook and Twitter, we will donate two meals on your behalf.) Then, we hope that you'll pray about donating to Amazima, Katie's ministry in Uganda, by clicking the donate button on her sidebar.
Here are the links you will need:
Our email address:
contactfaithblogs@gmail.com
Disclaimer: Katie is not endorsing this weekend in any way, we are simply trying to let her know that we all love and support her and her ministry!

Guest post: Scars
We are excited to welcome our first guest!
Meet Casey of
A special thanks to Casey for offering up this post and for her beautiful words and photograph.
Scars
Any C-section mamas out there? Not to be TMI but any of you look at/see/ notice your scars everytime you are getting ready/ showering, etc?
Well, I do.
I love my scar. I love what it represents.
I love that long after my children are grown, I will still have my scar from my 2 previous c-sections (and however many more). I love that it is a daily reminder to me of the 2 little lives I have to take care of & think about.
I often think about Jesus & his scars when I look at mine.
His scars represent something beautiful too.
What about our emotional scars? We all have them. Some run deeper than others...some change us for better and some create walls in us.
Our scars make us who we are, don't they?
"There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. For the law of the Spirit of life has set you free in Christ Jesus from the law of sin and death. For God has done what the law, weakened by the flesh, could not do. By sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and for sin, he condemned sin in the flesh, in order that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not according to the flesh but according to the Spirit." (Romans 8:1 - 4)
Nichole Nordeman
How did I get locked up inside?
What's this that renders me paralyzed?
I lost myself in small pieces
It happened over time
I traded love for a heavy chain
Another link every other day
I pulled it up and down a mountain
It made me want to say?
No more chains
No more chains
Big and small, watch them fall away
No more chains
Big and small, watch them fall away
I wonder now if the choice was mine
The door was open, I walked inside
Nobody had my arm twisted
Nobody made me stay
The face of freedom can show up small
A tiny crack in a prison wall
A song that rises up from silence
A voice that wants to say?
I should let you give me wings

Adding our button to your blog
If you are new to blogging, "grabbing a button" might something you just aren't sure how to do! But trust me, it's easy! Just look for a place in your template to add an html code to your page.
In Blogger, find "add a gadget" on your blog under Design, and then search for the gadget that allows you to add an html code. (HTML/JAVA SCRIPT) Simply copy the text under one of our buttons, and paste it in the text box labeled "content." Save and return to your blog! The FaithBlogs image that you have chosen should appear in the area that you've selected, and it should take you to our site when it is clicked.
We do not currently pay for advertising. Adding our button is something you should do only if you want to and out of your love for us and the kindness of your heart! We love you back, and thank you!

About
Hello and welcome!
We are so glad you stopped by!
If you have not yet visited our website, go there first and then come back here to read more!
We are a new website, helping to connect people who write blogs, who read blogs who love Jesus. We hope that FaithBlogs is a place for you to find Christ's love and loads of inspiration.
It is our hope that FaithBlogs ministers to people in all walks of life, but that it is especially helpful families who are considering adoption and who are in the process. We were so thankful for our friends in blog-land during our adoption process and encouragement that we still find to help us through our journey. We have found that blogs are an incredible way to connect with real, honest and genuine people.
We are praying that God uses FaithBlogs for His honor and glory. We are small, for now, (just a husband and wife team) but we are having a great time with this and are excited to see where God takes FaithBlogs!
Thank you for your love and support!
Justin and Katie Troup
